Police have launched an investigation after bank cards were stolen from a gym changing room and £1,300 withdrawn.
It’s understood an offender entered the male changing rooms of the Village Hotel gym near the Silverlink, North Tyneside and forced their way into one of the lockers.
Bank cards and a driving licence were taken from a wallet inside and later used to fraudulently withdraw more than £1,300 at a Nationwide branch on High Street East, in nearby Wallsend.
The cards were reportedly taken on the afternoon of Thursday, October 19, 2023, and police launched an investigation.
Officers have today released images of a man they’d like to speak to as part of their enquiries.
The man was in the area at the time the cards were used and may have information which could help their enquiries.
Anyone who recognises him, or the man himself, is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101.
