An appeal has been made for public help to try to locate a man who has been missing from home for more than 24 hours.
Barry Marshall, 68, was last seen at his home address in the West Denton area of Newcastle at 9am yesterday (Friday, August 25).
Police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Extensive searches are being carried out to locate Mr Marshall and officers are now appealing for the public to provide any information which may help.
He is described as white, 5ft 11in, of large build with short grey hair and tanned skin.
It is thought he could be wearing a t-shirt, jersey shorts and Toms shoes.
Anyone who thinks they may know where Mr Marshall may be is asked to call police immediately, on 101.
